Tropical Day and Night

Open to the public early August 2025, Tropical Day and Night is a site specific installation at Esplanade, transforming the skylight cones into vortexes of shifting lights and reflections, using mirrors and sculptural elements inspired by the sub-theme of stars, lush vegetation and floral patterns.

Conceived as a tribute to Singapore's tropical surroundings and auspicious abundance of giving, this celebratory triptych on the occasion of 60th anniversary of a vibrant metropolis where nature and urban life are deeply interwoven, is a continuation and further development from the previous Piece of Sky and Cornucopia series.
